Wine Tasting - Château Montet Bordeaux 2009

Salutations, mes bons amis!

Uh-huh.  Tiffany and Chucky uncorked another bottle this afternoon.  After a couple of tumultuous days of weather (pounding rains and high winds) here in Central Florida, we were rewarded with a most magnificent Saturday!  Uncorking and savoring another bottle of wine seemed only appropriate.

Review B

We sat on our back porch, enjoyed some left-over Mediterranean Platter from Green Day Cafe, and thoroughly enjoyed this chilled Bordeaux white wine.  All elements of the day came together for a most enjoyable afternoon:  light breeze, abundant greenery, sky full of sunshine, birds (woodpecker, dove, and cardinals) on the feeder, healthy snacks, conversations with the one I love, an overly happy "The Seed", and a remarkable white wine.

The label reads as follows:

"A women family business for seven generations.  Eveline and Marie-Christine have a single aim:  MAXIMUM QUALITY.  Rigorous control yields, a strict supervision of the wines, harvesting and wine-making is constantly adapted to suit the particular conditions of each year.

Serving:  Cool, with mussels and fish."

It's an equally elegant and crisp wine on the palate followed with many complexities.  A buttery, earthy and lime taste mixed with notes of Grannie Smith apple, pear and light grapefruit.  What it lacked on the initial nose it made up for in taste.

Hi-dee hi-dee white-wine-can-complement-a-beautiful-Spring-day-ho my friends.
