Wishing You a Solemn Memorial Day

"I'm more than willing to bet that my forefathers, family, and friends did not fight and die for the right to save a few dollars while at the local merchant."

Greetings and peace to everyone this solemn day.  For it was given to us as a chance to place the usual aside and think about the freedoms we have earned and the price that had been paid.

No.  No barrage of words this day.  It belongs to that friend, acquaintance or family member who gave the ultimate sacrifice when performing duties for this great country of ours.  Memorial Day has been set aside to remember the men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.

It doesn't mean that you can't go to a race, have a family picnic or enjoy yourself.  But, please remember what price was paid to allow you the privilege to do so.  Stay happy and be thankful my friend.

Hi-dee hi-dee holidays-have-a-purpose-ho my friend.
