Gawd... I Love Discovering New Restaurants

Hi everyone!

Welcome to a bright new sun-shiny day.  What?  It's dreary, cold or raining where you are at?  In the mind.  In the soul.  In the heart!  No matter your worries today, remember...  There is always someone out there who is probably worse off than you.  Perspective!  Keep things in perspective and things begin to work themselves out.

Today's blog?  Kathleen, a friend of mine who happens to be one of my fine blog Followers, recently recommended that Tiffany and I visit the Dandelion Communitea Cafe.  And, we did so this past Sunday.  Tiffany and I enjoyed a most enjoyable, tasty and healthy lunch.  Wow!  We walked away completely full and overly satisfied.

Dandelion Communitea Café, Orlando, Florida

An organic vegan restaurant gem here in Orlando, Florida.  Very close to our other vegan/vegetarian restaurant finds:  The Drunken Monkey Coffee Bar, The Loving Hut, Ethos Vegan Kitchen, and Pei Wei Asian Diner.  They all seem to be centralized within one region of Orlando.  Sadly, none within walking distance of home.  Hmm... Maybe this is a good thing?

Dandelion Communitea Cafe?  Hospitable, simple, environmentally friendly, vegan, organic, affordable and tasty!  "Winner, winner.  Vegan dinner!"  Tiffany and I shared two of their current lunch specials.  I ordered the black bean & quinoa burrito in a pressed whole wheat flour tortilla.  Tiffany ordered a falafel wrap in soft whole wheat flour tortilla.  I had side of blue chips & black bean salsa.  She had side of blue chips & hummus.

We ordered, paid, sat and waited for our foods of the organic heavens to arrive.  Most excellent!  What a portion!  If it only tastes half as delicious as it looks.  "It does!  It does!"  We shared our selections and both agreed it delicious, filling, fresh and totally healthy.

Mine appeared to be a black bean, quinoa and herb blend stuffed into a grilled tortilla.  Tiffany's appeared to be salad greens, cucumber, diced red onion, fresh herbs, and curried falafel mix rolled into a soft tortilla.  Both lunch specials appeared so fresh and delicious that I elected not to jeopardize them with any condiments (hot sauce, Sriracha sauce, etc.)  Perhaps next time.

We will be back!  Thanks Kathleen, my fine blog Follower friend!  We shall meet you and your fiancé Eric there in a few weeks as agreed.  Your dining choice kicks arse!!!  Thank you, thank you, thank you.

"Hey Kathleen!  Not a shabby choice of restaurant for a carnivore."   Hmm... Yes another example how vegetarians and carnivores can get along and live side-by-side together.  Kathleen and I met while working together within the deep dark recesses of Hell some years ago.  But, this is another story for a different blog day.

Hi-dee hi-dee recommend-a-killer-restaurant-to-a-friend-today-ho my friend!
